The Fair Isle is a pattern written by Deb Tucker by Studio 180 and it features the Bellingham Bay collection of batik fabrics that were also designed by Deb Tucker for Island Batiks. For this quilt, fabric placement is the key to creating the illusion of difficulty.

Your Tour Guide - Learn from One of the Best!
Your "tour guide" on this 12-month journey will be our Studio 180 leader extraordinaire, Leianne. Leianne started this wonderful thing we call our quilting hobby when she moved to Ontario in 2001. In addition to working at Quilters Cupboard, she is excited to share her knowledge through classes, quilt shows, workshops and trunk shows for Quilt Guilds
Leianne’s discovery of the accuracy of the Studio 180 Design rulers and love of Lemoyne Star quilts are a perfect fit for sharing with students. Some might call her “star obsessed”, and they don’t mean movie stars! Leianne continues to learn new things about Studio 180 and is passionate about sharing those learnings with others.
As part of this Block of the Month program, Leianne will share a detailed instructional video each month to help you master the skills required to complete each block. She will include other tips as well that will be geared towards helping you to "Increase your Success and Decrease your Stress!"

Program Options
When you join the Fair Isle Block of the Month, over the course of the next year, you will receive monthly pre-recorded instructional videos to help guide you through the cutting and piecing assignments for the month. You will have unlimited access to these videos and will be able to watch them at your own pace. You will also be able to reach out to Leianne for support and participate in a private Facebook group with the other members of the Block of the Month.
You can participate in the Fair Isle Block of the Month Program in a way that suits your preference:
Option One - Purchase a Kit (Quantities are Limited):
If you fall in love with the featured quilt, your monthly instructions will be customized to match the fabric included in your kit. The kit must be paid for upfront. All fabric and pattern instructions will be ready for pickup and/or will be shipped all at once.

To reserve your Blue Escape Fair Isle kit, you DO NOT need to register for the Block of the Month program right now but you will need to put down a deposit for the kit. The remaining balance and official program registration will be due when when the kits are ready in late summer 2022.
Will I Need to Buy Additional Supplies?
The Fair Isle pattern is written by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 Designs with Studio 180 tools in mind. There are no alternative modifications required or available. There are FIVE Studio 180 tools required to make this quilt are: Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star, Corner Bean, Square Squared, Trucker Trimmer III and the Wing Clipper.
These Tools are an Investment!
Leianne is a passionate believer that your Studio 180 tools are an investment and she wants to reassure that, not only will these tools help you achieve accurate piecing and less stress for this project, but they will help you on all future projects as well! This Block of the Month program will include lots of tricks and tips that will be applicable for future projects. You will also have the opportunity to leverage Leianne's popular "But Wait... Leianne will be sharing her thoughts on helpful notions along the way. these supplies aren't required to complete the project.
When/how do I sign up? When will I be charged?
Registrations for the Block of the Month Program are only being taken online at this time. You will register by paying the $99.99 fee and then selecting your program option and method of delivery (pickup or shipping). If you have chosen the kit option, an initial deposit for the kit will follow within a few days. The total charge for the Block of the Month Kit and/or pattern will occur once the complete kit and/or pattern is ready for pickup or delivery.

Why should I join the Block of the Month Program? Can’t I just buy the pattern and make the quilt myself?
Yes, you may opt to buy the pattern separately and make the quilt with your own fabrics, at your own pace. The value of this Block of the Month will be the monthly instructional videos. You will be able to access these videos as often as you need to help you fully understand the tasks at hand. In addition to the monthly videos, there will also be a bonus set of Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star instructional videos included at a no extra charge.
There will also be a private Facebook Group to share progress and ask questions along the way.
Additional Incentives
All participants in the Fair Isle Block of the Month will receive 20% off the FIVE Studio 180 tools required to make this quilt (Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star, Tucker Trimmer III, Corner Beam, Square2 and the Wing Clipper). You will also receive 15% off supplies recommended by Leianne throughout the program.
Should I even bother joining if I don’t have Facebook?
Facebook is intended to enhance the social aspect and keep things fun. All videos will also be accessible via restricted access to YouTube. Only members of the BOM Program will have access to these videos. In addition, any critical information will be communicated via email.

COVID19 Modifications:
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID19 there will not be a monthly option for this Block of the Month. The pattern and all fabric will be packaged up before the start of the program. Any further communication will occur via email.
Frequently Asked Questions - Fair Isle Block of the Month Program:
Am I entitled to BOM Program Benefits if I choose to buy the pattern and use my own fabrics?
If you would like to enjoy the BOM Program Benefits, you need to pay the Program Registration fee. That will entitle you to all the benefits of the monthly instructional videos and incentives.
Do I have to show my completed block every month? Will I be penalized if it’s not complete?
No – While we will be encouraging people to share pictures of their completed blocks in the Facebook Group, Quilters Cupboard will not be following up to make sure that you are staying on task.
What if I want to cancel?
By enrolling in the Block of the Month Program you are committing to the full 12-month program. Refunds will not be issued should you decide not to complete the program.
When / How will my BOM be shipped?
Your BOM will be shipped via Canada Post prior to the start of the program. You will receive a tracking number with your shipment.
