Morris Muse celebrates the unsung women of Arts and Crafts design.  William Morris and fellows valued female associates as models, lovers, and muses - inspiration for male artistic creation.  Morris's wife, Jane Burden Morris, earned no fame for her talents, yet she and her  daughter, May, were artists in their own right, designing, stitching and overseeing masterpieces of Morris needlework.  Despite late-century conventions that kept them behind the screens and drapes they stitched, women were true design partners.  The prints in the Morris Muse collection continue innovations in natural patterns with rich reds and color complements echoing interior fashion and the women's personal style.
