What accommodations will we be using at Elim Lodge?

There are various units that we will be using including the motel and Hawthorne House.  Accommodations are not lavish, but are clean and comfortable.  The motel is all on one level while Hawthorne House and other units have accommodations on the multiple levels.  The sewing area is in the chapel.  The dining hall is in a separate building which allows us to get in a few steps and some fresh outside air as we walk between our rooms, the sewing area and the dining hall.

If you have mobility issues, require a single room for medical reasons please include a **note on your order so that we may assign rooms accordingly.

** Example of note on order

Elim Lodge is a No Smoking and No Alcohol Use facility.

What will you bring to work on? Some projects to finish? Some new ones to start? An assortment of both?

Pack them up and decide after you arrive!

What else can I expect?

We all work on our own projects at our own pace.

Show and Share will undoubtedly happen and be encouraged.

We may have some games and activities should you be so inclined to take a break from sewing and wish to socialize!

We will have coffee and tea available in the foyer of the sewing room (chapel) and a large snack table which everyone is encouraged to contribute to and enjoy!

We are hoping (not yet confirmed) to have a massage therapist on site Saturday for those who choose to add an extra treat to their weekend!

We will have an assortment of items for sale in a pop-up shop in case you need such things as extra spool of thread, batting, a new rotary cutter blade or maybe even a new project to start!

Whether you are an early bird or a night owl, you are welcome to spend as much time in the sewing room as you choose!

Still have questions?

Send us an email at store@quilterscupboard.ca
