Dear Sue
I just have to write and let you know how much we all enjoyed our day on Saturday. Margaret, my aunt, is telling anyone who will listen, how much fun she had. I even told my mum in Ireland about it. It was so nice to get dressed up a bit and not be in a hurry to have to drink our tea and run. It was a wonderful idea for tea, to blend in with the tea cosy launch, so "hats off" to that one. I hope it will be a tradition for Mothers day that gets carried on.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed coming to your
store to learn how to make the Rumbleford Bag a few weeks ago. I had a great
deal of fun and was very excited to finish my bag in one day.
I found Renate to be so patient and kind. I will recommend
this to my friends and will keep my eye out for your 'weekend retreats' as one
woman was raving about them.
Again, thank you for offering such an opportunity to us. I
came away with a bag, some confidence and had so much fun meeting the women who
were there.
Thanks
Kim
Dear Sue:
Just off for a week's vacation at a friend's cottage and thought I'd write and
say Many Thanks for a terrific class last week. I've thought many times this
week, as I'm finally finishing some small quilt tops, that I can now quilt them
with something different than stippling and stitch in a ditch.
I feel so inspired about machine quilting now.
Thanks for a great class. You're a wonderful teacher, stimulating and
encouraging.
Jean and I love coming up to Quilters Cupboard. Your staff and mostly yourself
are welcoming and very knowledgeable.
Thanks...Susan Cameron
Dear Sue:
Thank you very much for picking out the material for my hydrangea quilt. You did
such a wonderful job. But I knew you would. After seeing your wonderful shop I
knew the work you all do would be exceptional. My sister just delivered it
yesterday on her way to Florida.
I will be starting it soon and will send you a picture when it is finished.
Thanks again.
Hope to see you on my next visit to.

Just wanted to thank you and your wonderful staff for a terrific Christmas in
July. You people make these courses amazing and you put so much hard work into
it and therefore it is passed onto us. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 courses and
after getting through the Lonestar (and honestly, I will finish it soon) the
Raggy Tree and Snow Folks were so much fun. Those are the kind of courses I like
- there isn't a right or wrong way to do something and the sky's the limit. The
course with Wilma on Thurs. was just so much fun. We did a lot of laughing
upstairs while the ones downstairs had to concentrate on doing the Santa Face.
Thanks again, Sue and please pass on what a great success it was again this year
to Wendy and the rest of the staff. You make the fun for us and you put in all
the time and energy to make it that way.

I put the binding on a UFO today and that trick from the demo yesterday worked
like a charm. I will never struggle with ending the binding again. It took about
2 minutes instead of 20.
Thanks so much. I LOOOOOOVE demo days. I learn so much.

I thought I'd just drop a quick message to let you know that the virtues of your
shop have been extolled by two of your happy customers, Joan and Holly. I
recently met these delightful ladies at a Fabric store in Aurora while we were
all looking for patterns. We discussed the various quilt shops within (and not
so 'within') our area and, unquestionably, yours came out very much on top! I
look forward to visiting your store soon and, hopefully, will visit with these
two ladies when we attend one of your demo nights.

I was in your lovely store on March 6th with my sister. I want to say what a
great store you have. It is very nice and your staff were so helpful and
friendly. I will be filling my van with a few quilter friends and coming back
again soon.

"Uxbridge is a forty-five minute drive from my home but I travel the road
frequently for the following reason. I love the quaintness of Quilters Cupboard
and the way the fabric, kits, class samples and books are displayed. Sue and
Wendy, along with all their staff are extremely helpful when ever a notion needs
to be located, a special fabric chosen, and a book or pattern ordered. The shop
offers a wide variety of classes which are taught by experienced and patient
teachers. The special days each month (Demo Fridays, Quilter's Circle, Saturday
Sampler, PMS days etc.) give quilters a great opportunity to meet other quilters
and find inspiration in all the wonderful projects that are displayed. The
warmth, friendliness, support, and laughter that occur day in and day out are
why I love visiting Quilters Cupboard."

The moment I enter Quilters Cupboard, it's as if time stands still. Hours can be
spent just browsing, seeing what's new in fabric, kits and classes. Every staff
member is knowledgeable and honest when it comes to fabric selection. A real
treat for me are the Demo Days (the last Thursday evening or Friday morning of
the month). The new gadgets, fabrics and techniques introduced are unique and
many of them make their way to my "Christmas Wish List"!! Another enjoyable part
of Demo Day is "Show and Tell" which is at the same time inspiring, yet oh so
humbling. All pieces of work brought in are greeted with such enthusiasm and
praise. I look forward to starting new projects as one of my favourite parts of
quilt making is my trip to Quilters Cupboard, in Uxbridge, to have a visit with
Wendy, Sue and their staff, to peruse their fabulous selection of fabrics and
notions.

Quilters Cupboard is in a quaint little town called Uxbridge just 1 hour
northeast of Toronto. A wonderful shop that introduced me to the world of
quilting, the building doesn’t look like any other quilt shop I’ve seen. On the
outside it simply looks like a house but when you step inside it really feels
like home. If you’ve been there just once you can expect to be greeted by name.
The ladies who work there are very friendly and always willing and eager to help
in any way they can. This shop oozes inspiration for any level of quilter. You
are surrounded by beautiful samples on every scrap of wall as well as yards and
yards of gorgeous fabrics including the best display of wools and pennyrug kits
and supplies I have seen. Top it all off with a healthy selection of books,
patterns and notions and this shop is definitely worth a stop if you are ever in
the area.
